When I first came to Dublin, Ireland, I had heard it described as a “small city” so many times that I almost expected to find a small, quiet town. At first, the city seemed to be the total opposite. Public transportation was always full and people constantly crowded the sidewalks. Having never lived in a city before, I immediately wondered how people could live in such a crowded, chaotic place. So, I set out to learn. Along the way, I ended up finding calm and quiet within both the people who live here, and the city itself. This collection of street photography depicts life within Dublin, both the hectic and the calm, and the people who live in both.
